Hi Guys, in our infra we are observing NIC tagged to iSCSI is losing connectivity and couldn't observed network ranges. If I manually make the NIC down and up through CLI, It is up again and function as normal again.
In network switch level, our internal network team is observing many pause frames bouncing back with question it is ESXi host that we triggering too many pause frames and why? What cases ESXi could trigger pause frames? Also they are observing too many network flapping on terminating switch port. I saw few KB from VMware to verify network infra only for such pause frames scenarios.
Any lights? infra is running ESXi 5.0. Dedicated NIC is attached to two vSwitch (standard) backing iSCSI communication. When ever flap occurs, host loses connectivity with storage.
If is as below. If I manually reset NIC from cli, it is observing network and operating normal.
Thank you!
Hari.
